Overview

The Beaumont Grosse Pointe Diversity Committee would like recognize Domestic Violence Awareness month in October by bringing in a local expert from Turning Point on how to support survivors of domestic violence.

Objectives
At the completion of this program, the learner will have the knowledge and understanding to support victims of domestic violence and interpersonal violence that they encounter in their practice.

  1. Recognize victims of domestic violence and interpersonal violence when they present to health care settings.
  2. Integrate knowledge learned into their daily practice to support victims of domestic violence and interpersonal violence.
  3. Assess one's own practice and patient interactions to evaluate if their are opportunities for improvement in care for those who are victims of domestic violence and interpersonal violence.
