Overview

The purpose of this event is to provide an interdisciplinary educational offering focusing on geriatric best practices across the continuum.

Open to Beaumont Health providers and staff only.


Objectives

After attending this program, the participants will have the awareness, knowledge and understanding of how the interdisciplinary team can collaborate to provide evidence-based geriatric care.


  1. Discuss how the John Hartford Foundation works with communities to improve the quality of life for older adults.
  2. Identify one change they can make in their practice to improve care for older adults with dementia.
  3. Identify how geriatric assessments can benefit older adults.
  4. Discuss the interdisciplinary roles on an effective geriatric healthcare team.
  5. List one change to the 2019 BEERS List.
