Overview
This educational symposium will provide health care providers with practical approaches for the management of diabetes.  Participants will have the opportunity to become updated on current evidence-based guidelines, focus on practice-based learning and improvement, and network with colleagues.

Objectives
  1. Describe and apply current treatment guidelines in the management of patients with diabetes.
  2. Indicate best approaches for the treatment of diabetes and prevention of complications in older adults.
  3. Discuss effective insulin regimens to achieve glycemic control in the inpatient setting.
  4. Recognize the role of weight management in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and demonstrate effective skills of counseling patients on lifestyle changes.

Physician Continuing Medical Education
