Overview

This annual program is being provided to enhance professional practice and knowledge for rapid response team members and those who utilize its services.

Objectives
  1. Define sepsis, severe sepsis and septic shock and assessment parameters and treatment of septic shock.
  2. Describe interventions for respiratory emergencies such as high flow oxygen, intubations & BIPAP requiring transfer to ICU
  3. Verbalize interventions required as part of the stroke protocol including mechanical interventions.
  4. Recognize transfusion reactions and associated treatment
  5. Recognize hypertensive emergencies, how and when to initiate treatment.
