Objectives

Outcome Statement: At the end of this module, participants will describe the unique care needs of veterans with serious illness and the resources available to meet these needs through the Veterans Administration (VA).


  1. Discuss the impact of service culture and military experiences on the lives of veterans.
  2. Explain the value of a focused military history as a complement to overall health assessment and care planning.
  3. Provide information to veterans and their families to access information on eligibility for VA and other benefits.
