Practical Update in Cardiology 2023 is designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive review of the latest breakthroughs and advances in cardiovascular medicine. The course will focus on practical management issues for practitioners in a variety of key topics such as coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, valve disease, pulmonary embolism, and congestive heart failure. Content will be delivered through a combination of didactic lectures, case presentations and Q&A panel. 

1. Discuss how to optimize the management of acute heart failure
2. Discuss new advances in atrial fibrillation
3. Review management of the dilated ascending aorta
4. Discuss new recommendations regarding antiplatelet therapy
5. Describe the role of cardiac MRI in cardiovascular disease
6. Review which drugs should be avoided in cardiac patients
