1. Evaluate the evolving practice of ophthalmology and integrate the advances and trends in practice that are the new standard of care
2. Recognize surgical challenges faced by the ophthalmologist and review recommendations to overcome these obstacles
3. Examine the conditions that lead to medical errors and formulate methods for reducing these conditions within the practice of ophthalmology
